Mood

Legs

AI Insight

Mood's been high for 3 rides. Your legs are recovering β€” good time for one quality session.

~25%

Lower depression risk in large pooled studies when people hit routine activity levels β€” rides are medicine for the mind, not just the legs.

34%

Higher odds of injury tied to short sleep in athlete meta-analyses β€” recovery is part of going fast, not the enemy of it.

2Γ—

Goal-setting research: writing plans down with regular check-ins is associated with roughly twice the success vs intention alone β€” reflection compounds fitness.

Legs didn't feel the greatest at the start, was able to ease in on the first climb. Then on the second climb, was able to really open them up. Compared to last week where I wasn't able to hold the wheel, this week I was able to.

AI insight

You paced the first climb when the legs were off, then unlocked power on the second. Holding the wheel after losing it last week is a clear progression β€” note what changed (sleep, fuel, or intensity) so you can repeat it.

Improve for next time

  • Add 10–15 minutes of easy spinning before the first climb so heavy legs aren't stacked on the steepest pitch.
  • Jot what was different vs last week (sleep, breakfast, hydration, warm-up) while you still remember β€” that's your repeat checklist.
  • On climb two, rehearse the same wheel position and cadence that worked today so it becomes automatic under fatigue.

Voice dictation sample

Hear the kind of note riders dictate right after a ride β€” then VeloLog turns it into a structured log.

Philosophy

The riders who improve fastest aren't the ones training hardest. They're the ones paying attention.

Every ride holds data your Garmin can't capture β€” how your legs felt on the climb, why you cracked in the final sprint, what was different on the days you felt unstoppable.

VeloLog connects the dots between training, feeling, and performance β€” giving you a mental edge that numbers alone can't.

The best coaches keep notes. So do the best riders.

Why VeloLog

What other platforms can't tell you

Numbers show what happened. VeloLog shows why β€” and what to do next.

vs. Notes or spreadsheet

Structure + AI + patterns. No blank page. We prompt you, then interpret what you write.

vs. Activity apps alone

Uploads and metrics show what you did. VeloLog captures how it felt and what to adjust β€” most riders pair both.

Insight-first, not plan-first

We start from your journal. Mood, load, and tactics β€” then AI surfaces what's working.

Log less. Understand more.

One quick form after every ride. No power curves or TSS β€” we own reflection and patterns.

Testimonials

Riders are paying attention

Finally understand why some weeks I feel great and others I don't. I log in 60 seconds and the patterns actually show up.

Frequently asked questions

What is VeloLog?
VeloLog is an AI-powered training journal for cyclists. You log rides, workouts, and races; we help you spot patterns, reflect on performance, and get personalized insights powered by Google Gemini AI.
How does the AI work?
Our AI analyzes your journal entriesβ€”your notes, metrics, mood, and condition over timeβ€”to surface trends, suggest reflections, and answer questions about your training in natural language.
Can I try Pro before paying?
No, we currently don't offer a Pro trial. You can try 7 days free on the Free plan with up to 7 journal entries.
What happens to my data if I cancel?
Your journal entries and insights stay in your account. If you cancel Pro, you keep access to your data but will be limited to the Free plan cap of 7 entries. We don't delete your data when you downgrade.
How do you handle privacy?
Your journal is encrypted in transit and at rest. We don't sell your data or use it for advertising. AI features use trusted providers only to power insights and chat for your account, as described in our Privacy Policy. For infrastructure and security practices, see our Security & Data page.
What data control do I have?
You own your entries. You can update or delete content anytime, export what you need, and request help deleting your account through support. Passwords are stored as secure hashes β€” we never store them in plain text. If you want a deeper breakdown of retention and security, visit Security & Data or email support@velolog.net.
How is this different from Strava or TrainingPeaks?
Strava and TrainingPeaks track what you did β€” power, distance, TSS. VeloLog captures what they can't: how you felt, what you noticed, and why some sessions click. It's your reflection and insight layer. Connect your Strava account and we'll import rides automatically β€” you just add how you felt.
How long does it take to log a ride?
About 60 seconds. You need a title, type (ride/workout/race), and mood. Distance, duration, and notes are optional. You can even use voice dictation to speak your notes hands-free right after a ride.
What can I do with events and recon rides?
Plan your season with the event calendar β€” add races, sportives, and gran fondos. Create recon rides and link them to upcoming events so you can see your preparation status at a glance. The AI factors your event schedule into its insights.
